R&D Interests

Theory: Communication theory and radar systems. Digital signal processing for wireless communications. Modeling and simulation of communication channels. OFDM. Communication via multi-path channels. Synchronization in wireless communication systems. Interference/distortion mitigation techniques (narrowband, impulsive noise, nonlinearity, phase noise, etc.). Iterative algorithms. Joint equalization and FEC decoding.

Practice: Design and implementation of communication receivers for audio/video/multimedia broadcasting systems (ATSC, DVB-T/H, DAB, T-DMB, etc.)

Tools/languages: C/C++, SystemC, MATLAB/Simulink, SPW, SPW-HDS, Verilog (basics), Assembler for DSP (Analog Devices)
